People join the Lawrence S.Ting Charity Walk at the Crescent in HCMC\u2019s District 7 last Saturday. The event raised more than VND3 billion to help the poor have a cozy\u00a0Tet\u00a0<\/i>(Lunar New Year) celebration next month.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The event was organized by Phu My Hung Corp, and the People\u2019s Committees of district 7, 8, Binh Chanh and Nha Be. The orgainizers used part of the amount mobilized to donate to\u00a0Chung mot tam long<\/i>\u00a0foundation of HCMC Television and a foundation to support local sport talent managed by the HCMC Culture, Sports and Tourism. Since its inception in 2006, the charity walk has raised over VND20 billion for the benefit of the poor.
